The China Art Museum, formerly the China National Pavilion during the Shanghai World Expo, is a magnificent building where you can now leisurely explore at your own pace. In addition to admiring the museum's prized possession—the multimedia version of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival," there are also numerous artworks from modern artists on display.
The multimedia exhibition of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" is located on the 49-meter level. Since the closure of the World Expo, this version of the famous painting has permanently settled here and remains a popular highlight within the China Art Museum. This level also features the "Rising Moon Over the Sea—The Source of Modern Chinese Art" exhibition hall, where you can appreciate the paintings of the "Shanghai School" that blend Chinese and Western styles, also a permanent exhibition.
From the higher floors, you can also overlook nearby iconic World Expo venues such as the Mercedes-Benz Arena through the windows. The other floors mainly exhibit various artworks from renowned modern Chinese artists, as well as temporary exhibitions of art from both domestic and international museums.
The temporary exhibitions change regularly, allowing visitors to periodically enjoy art pieces from museums around the world. There are also many permanent exhibitions, including larger-scale ones such as the "China Art Museum Collection of Shadow Art Exhibition" on the 0-meter level, "Wu Language · Dialect—Shanghai Artists Invitation Exhibition," and "He Youzhi's Story Painting—Donated Works Exhibition" among others.

Must-See Tips:
1. It is recommended to avoid visiting during holidays, as not only might you spend more time in queues, but it can also affect the visiting atmosphere.
2. You can bring cameras, drinking water, and bags into the museum, but photography and drinking are prohibited in the exhibition halls (they are allowed in the lobby).
