上海共青森林公园
Gongqing Forest Park is located in Yangpu District, Shanghai, covering an area of 1965 acres with a forest area of 1870.6 acres. It is the only 4A-level national forest park in Shanghai characterized by forest landscapes.
The lush Gongqing Forest Park is not only an oasis in Shanghai but also a paradise for entertainment seekers. The park features a combination of active and passive activities, allowing visitors to enjoy the greenery while participating in various special amusement projects. Over 30 types of entertainment facilities are available in the park. In addition to traditional activities such as barbecue, horse riding, rowing boats, and forest mini-trains, there are also trendy and challenging projects for the young, such as triple-loop roller coasters, electric slides, and go-karts. Of course, there are also projects suitable for general entertainment, like rapids adventure, pirate ships, and bumper cars. Rich water activities are also a good choice, and for young people who love sports, there are also their own happy places, such as rock climbing, playing soccer, paintball shooting, roller skating, and tandem bicycles.
Inside Gongqing Forest Park, there is a nearly 300-meter cherry blossom avenue. Unlike other parks, the cherry blossoms in Gongqing Forest Park are scattered throughout the entire forest, with a backdrop of a thousand-acre forest landscape. Gongqing National Forest Park is located in the northeastern part of Shanghai, by the Huangpu River, and is one of the closest forest parks to the city center.
The large forest area in Gongqing Forest Park is the result of afforestation efforts in the 1950s. The park also features hills, large lawns, lakes, streams, and other landscapes, making it a beautiful place. Visitors can enjoy activities such as boating, barbecue, horse riding, or play pirate ships, shooting games, and other entertainment projects. Even just taking a walk, riding a bike, and breathing fresh air in the park is a pleasure.
Gongqing Forest Park fully utilizes its beautiful garden landscapes and rich forest resources, combining seasonal changes and traditional festivals to regularly launch a series of themed cultural activities throughout the year. These mainly include four-season flower exhibitions: the Spring Flower Exhibition, the Summer Aroma Plant Exhibition, the Autumn Shanghai Chrysanthemum Exhibition, and the Winter Narcissus Flower Exhibition, as well as the Urban Forest Carnival and Beer Festival during the National Day period, and the Forest Music Festival in late October.
The Urban Forest Flower Exhibition usually opens in late March, mainly relying on the park's existing forest landscape, with crabapple, peach, and cherry blossom forests as the three main viewing areas. Through large-scale large trees, ground wildflowers, creative attractions, and a large number of flowering trees and shrubs, it forms a unique forest sea of flowers in the city, layered and multi-dimensional, allowing flower viewers to enjoy the great time surrounded by flowers in the forest.
The Aroma Plant Exhibition is held every summer, mainly showcasing various aromatic plants such as mint, rosemary, and lavender, allowing citizens and tourists to experience the unique freshness and fragrance of nature in the hot summer. In the golden autumn season, Gongqing Forest Park uses chrysanthemum exhibitions and chrysanthemum art displays as carriers, with the vast and profound forest as the background, through outdoor three-dimensional attractions, shaped chrysanthemums, and fine chrysanthemum exhibitions, accompanied by "Chrysanthemum Ceramic Calligraphy and Painting," "Chrysanthemum Fabric Painting," "Chrysanthemum Tea Art," and other interactive themed cultural activities, to explore cultural connotations, showcase chrysanthemum art, and inherit and promote the essence and heritage of traditional Chinese chrysanthemum culture. At the end of each year, when the narcissus flowers bloom, Gongqing Forest Park hosts the annual "New Year's Citizen Narcissus Sculpture Competition," allowing citizens and tourists to meet friends through flowers and showcase their carefully carved and nurtured narcissus.
Gongqing Forest Park has four gates, among which the South Gate and West Gate are the main entrances. Public transportation can usually enter from the West Gate, where there are more bus routes, and private cars can go to the South Gate because the park's large parking lot is built at the South Gate. Entering the park from the West Gate, the first area is the entertainment zone, with facilities such as pirate ships, rapids adventure, and skating rinks on the left, and roller coasters, carousels, bumper cars, and paintball shooting ranges on the right. There is also a forest mini-train to ride. On weekends, some entertainment projects require a long queue to play.
Walking further from the left side, there are dedicated barbecue and camping areas and a horse racing field. The barbecue area is quite popular on weekends and holidays. Continuing deeper into the park, there are artificial lakes where you can row boats or take a zip line from the lake to the other side. The deeper part of the park is mainly forest and lawn, with a quieter environment suitable for walking or resting. Walking to the southeast end of the park, you can see the passing ships on the Huangpu River.
There are many kiosks in the forest park selling drinks and snacks, which are slightly more expensive than outside. There are also restaurants in the park, but the prices are more expensive, so it is recommended to bring some dry food. In addition, diagonally opposite the South Gate of the forest park, there is a small scenic spot called "Wanzhu Garden," which is part of the forest park. Wanzhu Garden is not large, filled with bamboo forests, and features the Jiangnan landscape of small bridges and flowing water. You can visit with a ticket to the forest park.
